A Red Barn for your Friday
Wednesday, February 15, 2012 at 9:46PM I was driving back from Molalla on Tuesday evening as the sun was breaking through the clouds for one of the first times that day. It was that perfect, soft sunlight that only happens right before it sinks into the horizon for the night. It provided just enough of a glow to create a double rainbow against the ominously gray clouds in the east. And if that weren't beautiful enough, you know how lovely a hill of evergreen trees is in the golden hour? Well, that's what was happening right underneath this double rainbow. Why the wordy description? Naturally, said double rainbow occured on the day Rob had both cameras for our restaurant shoot. Drat.
I made it up to myself though. On Wednesday I was driving to Molalla at the exact same time of day and I was kicking myself for not leaving five minutes earlier so I could fit in a side-of-the-road photo op. Thirty minutes and one cancelled appointment later, I was heading back to Portland and detoured by this red barn I've had my eye on for a few months now. I took several shots and ended up liking the first one best, even though the way it's focused was initially an accident.

So there you have it, friends -- a red barn for your Friday viewing pleasure. Wishing you a weekend full of right time at the right place photos, err uh, the non-photographer's equivalent :)
